Why Is It People Use The Internet On A Cruise Ship?

There are so many complaints almost daily from people who are on five star cruises because of the fact they cannot access the internet very well at all. Getting near the internet itself is something you should already be greatful for, let alone moaning. The thing is, you are at sea, is it really to be expected that the connection is going to be super all of the time?
Sometimes it is the costs that get on peoples nerves. Many cruising companies will obviously charge a little bit extra for you to go onto the internet, it is only fair really. Of course another idea is staying at home for your next vacation, then you can have the internet whenever you want? Cruises are meant to be fun and relaxing so why do many people spend them cooped up in a room reading e-mails and chatting to people over Facebook.
The only reason that people use the internet is because it is there, if it was taken away then people would think no differently so this could be an idea. The complaints are uncalled for because the service is there for the people who just cannot wait a week to get home again.
Why bother spending loads of extra money on internet charges when you could be relaxed by the pool with a nice drink in your hands? Many people love sending pictures over the internet. Is there any real reason for this? Your family and friends can wait until you get home with the camera to look at all the amazing photos you have taken.
So whether it is one of those nice Rhine river cruises or perhaps one of those Silversea cruises just enjoy it.
Why do you not just sit down and relax by the pool and have a drink!!
