Cape cod is one of the best places to travel in New England. If you enjoy the beach, Cape Cod is definitely the place for you. There are a lot of things to do in this beautiful, exciting and yet relaxing place. It is no surprise that Cape Cod is the former home of the 35th president of the United States.
Whether you want to go whale watching, which happens to be one of the capes most popular activities, or just sit on the beach for the day, you can definitely do that here. Cape Cod has just about 600 miles of coastline, so needless to say, it is a very popular destination for boating, deep-sea fishing, sunbathing and all sorts of other water activities. It is a much desired vacation destination for the people of Massachusetts, and in fact people all over New England.
Imagine viewing this beautiful Cape from a tower which is over 250 feet tall. Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum is a fantastic place to do just this. This dedication to the Mayflower’s landing is located in Provincetown, which is at the very tip of the Cape. This beautiful tower which is made completely out of granite, is worth seeing alone. Is it true work of art.
John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum is a dedication to the 35th president of the United States and his political campaign. Here you can expect to see the life of not just a president, but a man, a husband, a son and a father who loved and called Hyannis home. You will see no truer account than what you will find here. There are many personal items photographs and much more to see. You definitely do not want to miss this.
Cape Cod has some fantastic entertainment and shopping. You also not have trouble finding a place to stay over night, or for as long as you like. Just keep in mind that during the busy season they fill up quickly, you might want to make a reservation.
Cape Cod is about a 1 to 2 hour drive from Logan Airport depending on when you travel. During the most popular season the traffic can be quite busy. If you have the chance, travel late at night or early in the morning.
If you’ll be in the New England area, you will definitely want to visit Cape Cod. You will not want to miss out on this opportunity to get a close up look at American history, while having a fantastic time.
