CBS to Renew Five Shows Including ‘Hawaii 5-0′ & ‘The Defenders’
Article by VacationRentalPeople
This year has been a particularly good year for the new shows starting out on America’s CBS network, and each one has been renewed which is almost unheard of in the extremely competitive world of American television.Reuters have reported that all freshman shows on the network are to be given extra funding for continued filming of their seasons. The network has given full season clearance to all its new shows. The five new shows that have started up on CBS are The Defenders,Bleep My Dad Says, Hawaii 5-0, Blue Blood, Mike and Molly. This sounds like good news for the show’s producers and a stroke of luck for the network, certainly many will be happy to find their contracts renewed. The shows have all performed well in their time slots, bringing in a good share of the audience attracting network bosses to extend all runs to a full season.Though this is good news for those involved in the shows it is also a potential problem for the network as the midseason comes up with more shows competing for survival on the network. Yet riding their current success it seems that the network is happy to face that problem when it arrives. For midseason the show has another five shows on the agenda, these are: Mad Love, Live to Dance a realty show featuring Paula Abdul, Chaos and the crime drama Criminal Minds. In mind of potential success of the new shows Reuters have revealed that CBS president Nian Tassler is prepared to cancel shows if their popularity wanes, while new shows take over their place in the ratings list. Some of the shows are already struggling to keep their numbers, for instance Bleep My Dad Says is certainly struggling to retain its audience. Based on a popular twitter feed which has over one million viewers, followed by a successful memoir the show stars William Shatner as a cantankerous old father, and focuses on his strange relationship with his son and family.Having received a great deal of publicity due to its status as an online phenomenon the show has already been well marketed, being covered by many online sources and making its way in to mainstream press. Then there is the semblance of two cult figures, first the curmudgeon father documented on twitter, and then there is William Shatner, both bringing pre-established audiences.Though the pilot received very poor reviews, over 12 million American tuned in to watch the show. Since then the audience has been slowly fading out due to the show’s lack of quality.Hawaii 5-0 has been performing very well, striking the right chords with the audience of the original show, and making just the right changes. It perhaps won’t last the length of the original show but seems set for a long run.Meanwhile the show has reminded America of Hawaii as a holiday destination and Hawaii vacation rentals are on the rise.

5 Best Things To Do On A Cruise
October 25th, 2009 by Henry, under Travel Agents, Vacations, World Travel. No Comments
• Eat. Some would suggest this goes without saying. We need to eat to survive right so what is better about a cruise ship? Well cruise ships often have a huge range of different restaurants on board and will frequently change their menus to match the current location of the ship. Make the most of having some world class chefs all in the same place by trying out food from all the eateries.
• Swim. The majority of boats have more than one pool on board where you can have a splash about, swim some lengths or sunbath on a lilo. The sun will be your to enjoy all day long as well due to fact there is nothing for miles around that will cause a shadow. Water flumes, wave-riding machines and water sports activities can be found on many boats and provide unlimited fun.Read this cruise review for example.
• Casino. Even if you don’t know a chip from a deck, you should still take time to check out the awesome casinos. Famed for their atmosphere, casinos are a great place to get to know people, have a lot of fun and pick up some tips on how to beat the banker. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to enjoy yourself but if it’s your first time then Blackjack is a good place to start. It’s easy to pick up and blackjack players are some of the friendliest around.
• Bar. There will be a number of different bars all over the ship and some luxury Cruises are all inclusive, so there is no excuse not to sample some liquid delights. The barmen and ladies make a million martinis a day but will jump at the chance to make something a little more interesting. Request that they mix up something that is traditionally to the local area and watch as they spin, shake and stir a bit of culture into your cruise.
• Shows. Cruise ships only book top quality acts to entertain their passengers so you’re certain to leave with a smile on your face if you book in for one of the evening shows. Ask the staff around the ship for their recommendations and luxury cruise stories They’ve likely seen many of the acts a number of times so can give you the insider info.
