Top 5 Cheap Hotels in Atlanta Georgia

Finding a excellent rate in Atlanta Georgia on a hotel is not a tough job. You can always find a really cheap hotel in the city. The only item you want to pay attention to is where you are staying. You don’t need to end up staying in a part of town in which you will not be happy.

In this piece I have paid no interest to location, I am just going to communicate the top 5 cheap hotels that fall within the city limits of Atlanta. You will want to shop through these hotels to make sure they are in an area you want to stay. I also suggest you book in advance, and book with a site that has several hotel chains. The odds of you being moved to another hotel, if one doesn’t meet your standards, are elevated if you book with a hotel discounter instead of directly through a hotel.

The principal 5 cheap hotels in Atlanta are:

Hometown Inn starts at just $30 nightly.

Microtel Inn Galleria starts at $32 nightly

Days Inn/Jimmy Carter Blvd. starts at $34 nightly.

Masters Inn Marietta starts at $34 nightly.

The best way to save cash is to book at a site which offers a low price guarantee. This means that prior to your trip if you find a lower price the site will match the price or refund your money so you can book the lesser rate. Most hotel chains do not offer this quality because they actually sell their rooms at wholesale to suppliers and consequently would always be undercut.

Booking in advance is the best way to save money because as the hotel gets more reservations they will jack up prices. You need to make your mind up when you are going to go and then get your trip booked, you can make changes later on on most reservations, but you will be subject to the higher rates since it is closer to the time of your trip.

Cheap Hotel Rates and How to Get Them

April 21st, 2009 by Pete Jones, under Vacations. No Comments

With the cost of everything going up, a cheap hotel may be what you are looking for when you go on your next business trip or vacation. But, when you think of a “cheap hotel” you may not have pleasant images in your mind-uncomfortable beds, no amenities and just the basic necessities. But, if you could find a really great hotel with amenities and extras at a cheap hotel rate, you would probably jump at the chance to take it. Where can you find these great rates? You probably have heard about online specials, but you should also consider calling the hotel directly as well as looking for package deals, and special discounts for a cheap hotel rate.

Why should you call the hotel directly? If you are planning on staying at a chain hotel, you don’t want to talk to the main reservation number-try calling the hotel directly. They may be able to give you a cheap hotel deal that is not advertised to the general public. You can also ask about any specials or package deals that they have. Let them know what kinds of rates you are finding online and see if they will match or beat them.

Nearly everyone knows about using the internet to get a cheap hotel rate. You may bid for a cheap rate or you may just search around and compare until you find the best one. An advantage of shopping this way is that it is very convenient and you can look at lots of rates in a very short time. Try different travel dates to see if you can get a lower rate that way if possible.

Another way to get a cheap hotel rate is to get a package deal. If you go on an all-inclusive travel website, many times you are able to make your hotel, air and rental car reservations at the same time. You can potentially save hundreds of dollars this way. If you are really flexible in your travel and you don’t care when or where you go, you may also be able to save by traveling in off-peak times. For instance, if you stay at a Colorado ski resort in the summer or at a California amusement park during the middle of the school year you may get better rates.

Check for military discounts, credit card discounts and other discounts that you may have. Stay cheap and live well.

Saving money with Coupons at Hotels

January 15th, 2009 by Pete Jones, under Travel and Leisure. No Comments

It does not matter the purpose or reason for your travel a choice of hotel is one of your most important things surrounding travel planning. If you are on a budget then you need to know what to do to cut the cost on your hotel. That way you can use the money at your destination instead.

This article will tell you where to save on your hotel stay.

You can find coupons for hotels at three major sources.

Books on destinations are a great way to go. These are available from the office of tourism in the city you are visting, and online. You can also buy books on travel. You can usually find them in airports at a gas station or sometimes at an attraction like a theme park or show. Just look through the book to find coupons for hotel properties.

Online is another good place to look for discounts. A lot of websites out there are competing for your business when it comes to prices on hotel rooms which drives prices down. You can also join the mailing list of large hotel chains and they will mail or email you coupons.

Travel groups are another good source of coupons. You can join a travel club that offer coupons and discounts to their members. Search on the internet for a local travel club in your area.

When using a coupon keep the following things in mind.

Hotel coupons usually have restrictions. You have to be aware of any of these before you book a room or check in. You usually pay less that the normal rate on regular days, however hotels usually dont accept coupons on holidays or special events that are local to the area. Hotel rates are based on supply and demand, so during periods of more guests they will not offer as many discounts as they do when they arent busy.

Most coupons are for walk in only. That means you have to wait until you get there to book. Make sure you can make a reservation with your coupon to avoid not having a place to stay.

Austin Discount Hotels

January 15th, 2009 by Pete Jones, under Travel and Leisure. No Comments

by Chris Linch

You can get great discounts on hotels in Austin even if you are looking at four and five star properties. The discounts available are up to seventy percent of the rack rate, which is the rate the hotel charges. If you are lucky or you do your research, you could get a five star property at the price of a two star. The chances are higher if you book in advance and have set travel dates so you can book a non refundable advance purchase.

If you are part of a group visiting the city then you might be eligible for group discounts. They are usually offered when you are booking nine or more rooms, and everyone is arriving and leaving on the same day. Some of the smaller hotels will give a discount on less rooms.

There is an enormous amount of research that can be done on the internet when you are looking for a cheap hotel room. If you do this research before you book you will easily find the lowest rate. Most websites also include reviews of hotels where their previous customers have left comments about the hotel.

Not all hotels have discounted rates. You also want to validate the services offered by hotels which are offering the discounts. There should be plenty of information provided on the internet about any individual hotel. To make up for the discount the hotel may have removed breakfast and you end up spending the same amount as a hotel that is more expensive that includes it.

I think the best way to find discounts on hotels in the Austin area is to book well in advance and book online. Most websites out there offer the lowest rates, even lower than the hotel, and will match a rate if you find a lower rate before you check in.

Cheap hotel deals

January 14th, 2009 by James Cavalier, under Vacations. No Comments

by Jimmy Johnson

Are you trying to plan your next vacation, but are overwhelmed and discouraged by how much it is going to cost? Join the club, most of us who are used to a nice vacation every year or two are suddenly finding it very hard to afford to go anywhere except locally. It really doesn’t have to be that way though, as long as you can spend some time searching for the best cheap hotel deals.

Start With Quality

Start With High End Hotels

Check out the hotels that are located in the area where you want to visit, and keep you sights high – you never know what kind of deals you can find once you start looking. Even the most luxurious hotels may offer spectacular savings if they are having trouble filling up.

If you are familiar with your destination and have taken the time to narrow down a specific area to certain lodging, you are much more likely to get a hold of some cheap hotel deals. Sometimes, hotels will offer deals through their websites. Other times, if you call to make reservations you simply have to ask if they have any deals or packages that are available. While they may not advertise them over the phone, asking will open up the window to finding cheap hotel deals that you may not have been able to previously take advantage of.

Start your search on the Internet by checking out the hotel websites. Many will offer big savings by booking for certain lengths of time or just by booking online. Some offer savings if you have an affiliation with CAA or other memberships. If you don’t find a great deal online, then prepare to call the hotel and butter up the reservation desk. They have the inside track to deals that aren’t advertised and should be able to find something to fit your budget.

If you would rather a one-stop shop for travel deals then check one of the online travel booking websites. Once you enter when you are planning to travel, along with the destination and number of people travelling with you, it will return all hotels in the area that they use and list them by number of stars, cost per night, or even proximity to a local attraction like the beach. You can sort through these hotels and look at pictures and even customer reviews to find one that fits your budget.

If you still aren’t having any luck try adjusting your dates to see if you can get a better deal. Occasionally the website will offer travel advisors at no charge, give them a call and see if they can help you out. After you book your trip all that’s left is to pack your bags and enjoy!
