Hotels in Sydney Darling Harbour (located in Sydney, Australia) are located in a peninsula shaped waterfront that has something to offer for both a romantic getaway and a family vacation. Most accommodations come with a beautiful view of either the harbour or the South Wales skyline, either way you are in for a treat. The area has recently been renovated to fit the needs of tourists with nearby activities to satisfy the needs of all.

If you have a tight budget and are willing to walk a further distance to reach the harbour, the best choice would be to stay at a hostel. Hostels are general housing areas shared with other travelers that provide less expensive housing arrangements for travelers. Whether your stay is short-term or long term, for a higher price you can enjoy the luxury of a suite or apartment style hotel room.

When visiting the Harbour with family, there are various activities available within walking distance. The area includes, historical museums, plane assimilation modules, museums, an Imax theater, and various forms of water travel. The large pedestrian only bridge gives a great deal of quick and easy access to both sides of the Harbour.

When visiting the Sydney Darling Harbour for a romantic dinner or outing with friends, there are various activities to choose from. A few blocks from the Harbour are some of the original pubs and restaurants ever opened in the area. Many of the popular restaurants lie on Kings St. Wharf, Cockle Bay, and Harbourside.

One worry that will be far from your mind while visiting the area is safety. There is both a police station and a first aid station in the middle of the harbour. The peninsula has a visitor centre with free brochures, maps, and information on activities that take.

Sydney also has various forms of transportation if walking is not your style. When traveling outside the harbour there is a lightrail train that can transport you to neighboring cities like Pyrmont Bay. Within the Darling Harbour are people mover trains, similar to trolleys. If you pay the driver you will receive a ticket and be given a ride to any attraction on the Harbour.

The Sydney monorail provides one of the most uniquely beautiful views of both the Sydney Harbour and skyline. In one direction, when leaving the waterfront, a scenic view of the city skyline can be seen ahead as the monorail travels on its elevated track, in the other direction a full view of the Harbour is available.

Whether your stay is short-term or extended, Sydney Darling Harbour is full of numerous activities to keep you busy and various forms of accommodations to suite your needs. Some of the best times to travel are doing the warm seasons when the night and days are warm and offer for the perfect romantic setting. May, June, and July are some of the warmest months recorded for travel.

Use your creativity and create the adventure of the lifetime full of various Sydney Harbour attractions or leave the hard work to tour guides. Although the weather may reach high 90′s in summer months, there is no swimming in the Harbour so you must seek refuge in a public fountain or hotel swimming pool.
