Traveling around is convenient, you can either hire a cab driver to get you from one place to another or hire a trishaw puller to get you to short distances such as the Cheong Fatt Tze and the areas around Chinatown and Little India.
Tourists keen on spending their time around the heritage locations will find comfortable Penang luxury hotels, Georgetown as most of them are located in convenient spots. The Cititel Hotel is an affordable one for those who don’t plan on sticking around the hotel much. It is within the hub of entertainment – bars, restaurants, nightclubs and more and more. For a more upscale experience one can find the best comfort and experience a British colonial atmosphere at the E&O Hotel. Located a walking distance from the Fort Cornwallis and other heritage sights, it is pure opulence in the best part of town, facing the sea. Room rates here are on the steep end, but guests who have lodged here only experienced the finest service and quality of living.
For a more Colonial-Malaysian feel, the Clove hall and the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion provide excellent exclusive stays. The attractions at these places are the design and ambience. The two places are different, respectively; one a very Zen mode, and the other a very Baba-Nyonya, colourful surrounding. Whilst the Clove Hall only has 5 rooms, the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (also known as the Blue Mansion) boasts 38 rooms. At the Cheong Fatt Tze location, it is common that a guest here need not venture out much as this place itself is a tour attraction.
