For those thinking about a nice, relaxing getaway in the Canary Islands, renting one of the villas in Lanzarote is an option worth considering. Lanzarote is the fourth biggest of these islands in the Atlantic. The African coast is located a bare 79 miles off, and Lanzarote has everything that the Canary Islands are reputed for.
This includes magnificent white sand beaches, clear and sunny skies, and all sorts of visit-worthy rock formations created by a volcanic eruption. Also included on this list is the Atlantida Tunnel, which is the longest volcanic rock tunnel in the world. Among the beaches, the best ones – including Papagayo, are in Playa Blanca.
The most sought after villas are also in Playa Blanca, along with those in Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen. The villas are mostly all part of one or the other holiday resort complexes. Choices range from in between one to three bedroom villas.
The complex includes additional resort amenities and facilities like a common pool and laundry service. The bigger resorts are self-sustained mini-cities with everything from a shopping complex to gyms, restaurants, bars and direct access to the beaches. The point is to offer the privacy and comfort of home in a villa while enjoying all the facilities that hotels and resorts offer.
There are also larger and more private villas with their own swimming pools and rooftop or backyard sunbathing decks. These may be stand-alone or part of a resort complex. If not a part of a resort, the village will be just a few minutes off and offers all the same facilities, includes restaurants and shopping.
Bottomline is that the Canary Islands are a wondrous and exotic place with beaches and sunshine and strange lava rock formations. A holiday in Lanzarote is always going to be enjoyable. It is possible to make it even more enjoyable and comfortable by choosing to stay in one of the villas in Lanzarote.
