Gold Coast is a city that lies in Queensland in the country of Australia and it is fair to say that it is one of the most exciting places to be on Earth. The city attracts several million visitors each year mainly due to its fantastic, vibrant atmosphere that can be experienced no matter what time of the year you visit. One of the prominent reasons that visitors flock to the city is to enjoy the abundance of Gold Coast theme parks that can be found in and surrounding the city.
One of the parks that should definitely be on your must-do list is Sea World. This theme park, as you would expect, lies close to the coast and is a mixture of a marine aquarium and a theme park with rides. The aquarium section of the park centres on teaching visitors all about conservation as well as healing sick or ill wildlife. The park section of Sea World has a balanced mic of small and large rides to suit all ages of the group.
Of the attractions available at Sea World, Shark Bay is one of the top must-dos. The man-made lagoon is filled with creatures from the deep, in particular the much feared shark. As well as a touch pool for the brave, their are viewing areas that allow visitors to see right into the eyes of these rulers of the deep, as well as other species of underwater life. From the aspect of exciting rides to be found in the theme park, visitors can get wet on the Viking’s Revenge Log Flume or dry out on the Sea Viper rollercoaster.
Another of the Gold Coast Theme Parks worth visiting is the Warner Bros. Movie World. This is an exciting theme park that is filled to the brim with movie-based rides and attractions. Visitors to this park will find activities to suit all ages and it truly makes for a wonderful family day out whilst in the city.
Among the rides to be found at Warner Bros. Movie World are Lethal Weapon – The Ride, the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, Yosemite Sam’s Railroad and Superman Escape. As well as rides the park has a range of shows including stunts and a 4D adventure show. Younger children will love the All Star Parade which has costumed characters from favourite movies walking alongside colourful movie-themed floats.
If you want an adventure park with a bit of a twist, then Paradise Country is the place for you. Although there are no rides as such as this theme park, visitors get to experience what it is like living and working in the real Australian Outback. Children will particularly enjoy attractions such as the Stockmen & Sheepdog Show, being able to cuddle a koala, taking a ride on a camel or taking in everything courtesy of the farm tour.
Those who fancy themselves as bit of a cowboy will enjoy the Billy Tea and Stock Horse Arena experience provided by the park. Visitors can relax around a campfire indulging in a traditional Billy Tea whilst the experienced Stockmen show off their whip-cracking skills. This theme park with a twist is one not to be missed for a fun day out with a hint of local culture.
The Gold Coast Theme Parks that have been mentioned here are just a small taste of what lies in store for you when you visit the city in the state of Queensland. Whatever you enjoy doing the most or even if you only have a small amount of time to experience the parks of Gold Coast, there is truly something for everyone there, with adventure just waiting around every corner.
