Experience Bulgaria Holidays

Still a new and exciting country for most people to visit, Bulgaria holidays are fast becoming one of the up and coming vacation choices. A new arrival on the holiday scene, Bulgaria has only been free from communism for little over a decade.
On first impressions, the country seems not too advanced. But it would be wrong to think this; Bulgaria is an increasingly modern country that merely wishes to hold on to its traditions, cultures and beliefs. That Sofia continues to develop with such ideals in mind is surely only a good thing.
Bordered on three sides by Rumania, Serbia and Macedonia and Greece and Turkey, Bulgaria clings to the underside of Europe with a distinctive Mediterranean feel.
For those wishing to soak up the sun, Bulgaria holidays are best enjoyed throughout the summer months. However, for the more sporty amongst you, winter could be the time to visit with brilliant skiing and decadent spas available.
Whilst imported products can be expensive, going local is anything but. This is true for food, drinks, clothes as much as it is for accommodation. With even top hotels in city centers affordable at around forty dollars a night however, this is the most noticeable saving.
Whilst food may be cheap, it is not so in tastes; drawing on the Mediterranean culture for flavor, color and ingredients. The local alcohol is good too; though getting obliterated on this seems to be somewhat of a local pastime. You have been warned!
No matter the time of year for Bulgaria holidays; you are sure of an adventure and an experience that few places can now offer; particularly throughout the increasingly homogenized eastern Europe.
