Taking the whole family on a vacation is an exciting adventure. However, finding areas that are fun for the whole family can be difficult. When you pick a destination that works for the entire family, you’ll have a much better time. If you are not sure where to take your family on vacation, here are some exciting vacation destinations for the whole family that you may want to consider.
Universal Studios and Disney WorldLocated in Orlando, Florida, you’ll find Universal Studios and Disney World to be an exciting destination for your family. You’ll enjoy taking the family through the exciting Disney World rides while the kids get to meet Mickey and friends. Universal Studios is a lot of fun, and that’s not all you can do in the area. Take a drive to the beach or check out the Space Station so you don’t spend the entire time at Disney. Everyone will have fun and it’s usually easy to find nice vacation packages that save money.
Six Flags FiestaAnother great destination for the entire family is Six Flags Fiesta, which is located in San Antonia, Texas. You’ll find many things to do at this theme park. Enjoy the roller coasters and other rides and you and the kids will be sure to have a blast. Enjoy the surrounding area, such as Splashtown, the River Walk, and a trip to the Alamo while you are there.
Wisconsin DellsFor fun in the water, Wisconsin Dells in Madison, Wisconsin makes a wonderful place where the whole family will have fun. There are many different water activities to enjoy, including man made options and natural activities. One of the most well known water parks is known as Noah’s Ark, and you are sure to enjoy it. Many of the hotels in the area have water rides you can enjoy too.
Washington, DC MuseumsWashington, DC, the nation’s capital, is full of great history that you’ll enjoy and the kids can benefit from this as well. There are many great museums that you can visit throughout the city. It’s a great way to teach your kids more about history and they’ll have fun doing it. Enjoy the National Mall, the various Memorials and monuments in the city, and don’t forget the Smithsonian, the National Air and Space Museum, and even the National Zoo. For older kids, you may even want to visit the Holocaust Museum as well.
Hershey ParkKids love chocolate, and they are sure to enjoy a visit to Hershey Park, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Enjoy going through the Museum and finding out more about how the Hershey company makes their chocolate. You can also enjoy the Hershey Gardens, the amusement park, and more. There are attractions for the adults in the family too, such as a nice spa and country club. If you have the time, visit Gettysburg National Military Park, which is nearby, as well as the Dutch Country portion of Pennsylvania.
