Cheap Holidays in Cuba

In this article you will find some tips on how to go about finding cheap Cuba Holidays. Cuba has become a very expensive destination in last few years but there are ways around to find a cheap alternative.
One element that increases the cost of a holiday package is definitely the transportation. When you want to visit few locations cause you want to get to know the real Cuba. Most travel agents out there will use taxi transfers in their quotes and when you hear the price then you start thinking maybe is best if I stick to 1 or 2 places to make it cheap.
My advice in this regard if you want to safe hundreds is to use VIAZUL Bus Company. Viazul has terminal in most of the Cuban provinces and the tickets are really cheap compared to taxi drives.
A Taxi from Havana to Varadero which is a very common twin centre combination will cost around 100 CUC while a ticket with Viazul will only cost 12 CUC.
As you can appreciate the difference is huge. When you want to visit places like Havana, Pinar del Rio, Cienfuegos, Trinidad or Santiago de Cuba only in taxi transfers you could be paying well over 800 CUC. Viazul will safe you around 80 % of that amount.
The coaches are very comfortable and come in different sizes. They are normally equipped with TV, WC, air conditioning and even catering for the longer journeys.
Most people willing to travel to Cuba don’t know how large this island really is. Cuba stretches for over 1200 Km from East to West. Journeys like Havana to Trinidad take around 5 hours none stop by taxi.
Viazul although is very cheap compared to taxis it is a bit more uncomfortable. You will have to get a taxi from your hotel to the station and then get on the bus that will take you to your destination. As you can see it is not as comfortable as waiting for a taxi to take you to your next destination but is worth doing it if money is an issue.
