The smell of barbeque on a grill makes our mouth water with pleasure. The sound of meat grilling in direct fire is a pleasure to the ears. The over-all aroma, sound and taste of a hot off the grill barbecue are truly a feast in the senses. This is barbecue and this is how Colorado makes it. They definitely make barbecue best!
Barbecue is the general term for meat cooked under direct heat.
The art of barbecue has been around us for ages. Ancient civilization first discovered barbecue when they learned to cook their food and not eat it raw. Barbecue is a great companion while attending festivals, family gatherings and family vacations. Barbecue is proven to be a favorite dish in cook offs and get together. A beach party is not a beach party without barbecue grilling.
Barbecue is also the term used for the act of cooking the meat through charcoal or wood. A kebab is composed of meat (usually fish, pork or poultry) combines with tomatoes, onions and other vegetable or spices. Kebabs are prepared the same way a barbecue is thats why it is oftentimes called barbecue also.
Barbecue is first marinated in special sauces to tenderize the meat and lock in the flavors. A barbecue sauce comes in handy while the combination of ketchup and soy sauce mixed with oil is great for marinating and basting. Barbecue is best served with a special dipping sauce. Barbecue is oftentimes regarded as a healthier cooking alternative to frying since it does not uses oil to cook the meat.
