Flower Power

A flower brings happiness. They add color to houses and life to gardens. Flowers are usually given as gifts for they symbolize a lot of things. Flowers bring inspiration and good thoughts, they lessen depression and sadness. This complete benefit made flower a carrier of pleasure.
Because of their unique characteristics, flower has been a much loved subject to both artist and photographers. They love to capture the beauty and life the flower brings. Flowers make a good inspiration, by just looking at it an artist could come up with a lot of things. These are some great samples of popular flower paintings ,Van Gogh’s sunflower series and Monet’s water lilies.
Aside from its good worth and beauty, flowers have different symbolic meanings in western culture. For example, a rose symbolizes love, beauty, and passion. A poppy symbolizes consolation during death, while a daisy symbolizes innocence.
Flower Festival is one of the most awaited events in Kansas Missouri. The event holds a variety of full bloom and colorful display of bedding plant. Shoppers can choose from a wide selection of flowers of all kinds. During the event shoppers could also find so great ideas for landscape decorations as well as tons of gardening advice from different greenhouses.
It is a fun packed event for both young and adults. Activities include recipe sampling, arts and crafting, live music, bird adoption and much more. Shatto Milk also participates on this event; they will be selling their dairy product plus giving some kids the chance to pat the head of displayed calves. There no place for boredom in this event. Flower festival in Kansas does not only cater the education and promotion of local flowers it also raise fund for churches to help in the needs of others. It is an event full of flowery fun and a blooming heart.
A Healthy Heart Day

Heart disease is one of the many common ailment people nowadays suffer from. One in four women of the United States dies of heart disease each year-more than all cancer types combined, including breast cancer. Studies show that only a third of American women consider themselves at the risk of heart disease. Our Heart must be considered as high priority for today’s women. Vitamin D in the right amount has been found to reduce the risk of certain heart ailments while folic acid, B complex magnesium and zinc helps promote healthy nervous system.
Woman’s Heart Health Fair, is an event hosted by Sister to Sister Foundation. Founded in 2000, Sister to Sister Foundation is a non revenue organization dedicated to educating woman about healthy lifestyle, simple changes that may help reduce their risk of heart disease.
During the event proper attendees would have access to medical, nutrition, health and fitness as well as stress reduction provided by more than 70 vendors. Women’s awareness regarding popping pill everyday is not always enough to care for oneself here volunteers provide free cardiac screening, followed by on site counseling with on the spot results and a personalized action plan. This 15 minute evaluation checks several risk factors related to heart disease, including blood pressure, body mass index, even waist circumferences and family history.
Woman’s Heart Fair is not just an event that focuses on the heart but also on the holistic health and image of a woman as well. Aside from the wellbeing screening and evaluation it is a time of sharing and having fun all in one.
All women have their moments, sometimes with a lot of pressure, maybe some just ignores it, this event is designed for all woman to have their day off, a day off from being a mother, a boss, an employee. Grabbing the opportunity to attend stuffs like this would make a lot of difference not only in a women’s life but, her family as well.
